Coren's Independent Artillery is based in Philadelphia, PA where the original unit was stationed. The current membership resides in Pennsylvania & New Jersey. The original company was organized in 1777 with recruits from SouthEastern Pennsylvania & officers from the City & Liberties of Philadelphia. Interesting note that Capt. Coren could not accept any deserters into the ranks. The re-created group is dedicated to preserving the memory of the Continental Artilleryman, soldier, & distaff(civilian). Our uniform is a mix of mid-war military & civilian clothing. Basically either a Prussian blue regimental with scarlet facings, hunting shirt, or commoner's clothing. We participate in demonstrations & Living History programs all over the eastern United States as well as Canada.

The re-created unit of Proctor's Pennsylvania Artillery Company takes part in battle reenactments, encampments, and demonstrations throughout the year including the Siege of Fort Mifflin, which was the original post of the company. We have two uniforms. Our early war uniform is made up of either a blue regimental with buff facings or frocks. Our late war uniform is a blue regimental with red facings and yellow lace.
